Baby Steps

Tuesday, June 16, 2009 | |

I am trying to get to where I need to be, but it seems the only way to do it is baby steps. Here is what my progress has looked like so far:

1. Purchased and read most of
Nourishing Traditions
2. Tried to not get overwhelmed at everything I needed to change

3. Ditched my plastic tupperware for Glass Storage Containers @Homegoods
4. Purchased a Stainless Steel Water Bottle @Target
5. Bought Mason Jars @Walmart

6. Sought out raw milk & pastured (not pastuized) poultry and eggs
7. Found a Cheesecloth @Bed Bath & Beyond

A New Perspective

Several months ago I was introduced to Sally Fallon's Book, Nourishing Traditions. The book is primarily a cookbook, but the first 70 pages give a wealth of knowledge when it come to nutrition.

I am slowly trying to adapt the things it recommends in order to live a healthier lifestyle and to feel like I am putting the very best into my body. Of all things food should have the highest impact on our overall health and therefore impact our lives in the most significant way - making it a good area to invest in.

I hope that this blog encourages you to make better choices for a healthier and ultimately happier life.

Another great source for information is the Weston A. Price Foundation.
